About Celebration of Families

We are excited to announce the return of Hampton’s Celebrating Families Gala! Through a collaborative effort of esteemed community partners, in December 2021 the city celebrated five Hampton families for overcoming extreme hardships that threatened their stability. These families suffer from a myriad of environmental, emotional, economic, and mental health challenges. In this celebration, the families received items indicated on their Christmas wish list. Each year, families are presented with the items throughout the evening’s festivities.

We are seeking community partnerships to help sponsor families in our community for the 2022 event. For a single donation of $1,000, you may sponsor one of these families yourself. You will also receive four tickets to the event and your organization’s logo and description will be displayed in this year’s souvenir book given to all attendees.

To donate, you may write a check out to Families Overcoming Obstacles Together (F.O.O.T.) and mail it to 6 Royal Oak Ct, Hampton, VA 23666. We will provide you with a receipt for your donation. 

Your support for the Celebrating Families Gala will contribute to the stabilization of the oldest and most sacred unit in the world: the family. There will be an exciting show and dinner with a live performance. Also attending will be representatives of the city and our community partners.
