The Community Learning Garden is the foundation of our initiatives! Youth in our program learn weekly from the garden and its crops. Our Garden Manager teaches children and their families the fundamentals of successful gardening, the nutritional value of fresh fruits and produce, and how to develop a life-sustaining skill that offers life-long healthy benefits.

Participants in our All-Hands Hot Sauce program earn money for themselves and a charity of their choice!

We offer regular food giveaways to the community in partnership with the Hampton Department of Social Services — twice per week during the spring and summer months!

We are now introducing sensory parks to Hampton in collaboration with local schools! These parks are outdoor spaces offering sensory activities for all students and staff.

Parks also serve as outdoor classrooms, so that learning can occur in a rich, stimulating environment that engages all the senses. This has a therapeutic effect on students and teachers alike, improving the overall learning experience.

Every park is equipped with raised beds of soil for auxiliary gardening to our main location. The food grown in these parks contributes to our efforts with Hampton DSS to offer nutritious options to the needy.

Other Activities

We are partnered with The Day Program to offer an array of activities including yoga, meditation, and traditional African drum and dance!

These activities are offered free-of-charge to our community as an opportunity to refresh the body and the mind.
