Sensory Parks
On June 29, 2021, we cut the ribbon on our first sensory park at Barron Fundamental Elementary School!
Our sensory parks are outdoor classrooms for teachers and students to learn in a rich, stimulating environment that engages the senses.
This has a therapeutic, calming effect on participants who are eager for fresh air and movement after schools went remote in 2020.
Every garden features sensory activities for all students!
In addition to the many activities offered at our parks, we also install raised beds at each location to supplement the work at our Community Learning Garden of growing fresh vegetables for the community!
